QP Youth and Ladies Teams - Welcome to Season 2008/09
I wish to give a warm welcome for Season 2008/09 to all players, parents, coaches, medical, physiotherapy and technical staff associated with the QPFC Youth and Ladies Teams.
While the Club directs significant resources to these activities, it is appreciated that the scale of the commitment to develop 7 Under-age Squads and a Ladies Team is only possible through much voluntary effort by many individuals. This is appreciated by the Club. We hope that squads benefit from the significantly improved playing facilities and changing accommodation at Lesser Hampden.
Gardner Speirs, QPFC Head Coach, has invited 5 members of last year’s successful Under-19 squad - Jamie Brough, Ross Dunlop, Andy Boslem, Jack Henry and Barry Douglas - to join the Senior Squad in 2008/09.
A warm welcome has been extended to all players and parents connected with our Youth and Ladies Teams to accept an invitation to join QPFC at our Opening League Fixture against Stranraer at the National Stadium at Hampden on Saturday 2 August 2008. I hope that you are able to accept this invitation, and that we will have the opportunity to meet at Hampden or Lesser Hampden over the next month or two.
The Committee is anxious that all parents and those involved with the Youth and Ladies Teams are encouraged to take up Associate Membership of QPFC in 2008/09. The Club Treasurer, David Gordon, and myself will be in touch with parents and coaches over the next month or two to discuss this topic and future growth and development of Youth and Ladies football by QPFC.
Again, best wishes for an enjoyable season in 2008/09.
Jim Hastie
President
