Coach - Gerry O'Kane - 15s
Gerry started with Queen's Park as coach of the Ladies Team. He moved to coaching the boys squads two seasons ago and is now a valuable coach with the 15s squad.
Playing Career
Gerry started his career as a wee 8yr old playing for Whitevale United. He moved onto Arbroath Boys Club, Celtic Boys Club, numerous amateur teams and junior clubs before a serious knee injury curtailed his playing career. However he continued playing, having represented Scotland on numerous occasions in Civil Service National tournaments throughout the UK.
Coaching History
Giffnock Soccer Centre, Giffnock United Boys Club (u10s - u15s), Muirkirk Juniors, SFA / East Renfrewshire Council Community coach, working with SFA Youth Development squads, Queen's Park community / youth coach, Scottish Premier League women's teams, Hamilton Academicals LFC 2006/07 and Queens Park LFC 2007/08.
Favourite Football Moment: My son Liam playing at pro youth club level, running from halfway line jinking by several players and finishing with a wonderful left footed strike…….slightly better than Maradona's. Not biased at all !
