Queen's played a friendly match at Lesser Hampden against a good Drumchapel Boys' Club side who were looking to impress and gave our lads a tough game in preparation to our league starting back on Sunday 7th March.
The boys were asked to work on their touch and fitness as we haven't played many games and need to get our sharpness back up to scratch.
Queen's started brightly and moved the ball about on the excellent Lesser Hampden surface with purpose and created several chances in the early part of the game but Drumchapel were very dangerous on the counter so we had to concentrate at the back.
David Brownlie and Liam Reid who scored a peach from 25 yards, with Chris Scott and Ben Mulholland also showed up well and looked sharp.
The second period saw many changes to maximise players pitch time and the lads continued to pass the ball well and further goals followed from Jordan Quinn James Beattie and Ryan Smith.
The coaching staff were pleased with aspects of our game and was good to have a clean sheet while scoring a few and credit must go to Drumchapel who acquitted themselves well in the game, well done.
