Cowdenbeath v Queen's Park

The 13s headed north to play Cowdenbeath at Rosyth civil service grass parks and the boys were looking forward to a tough match. We drafted both David Brownlie and Ryan Smith back into the squad to boost the numbers of the team.

The boys started the game well enough and had to adjust to a bumpy surface but approached the game in a positive manner.

Queen's conceded a soft goal in the early part of the game after diving into a tackle at the edge of the box but a good shot from the Cowdenbeath striker.

Stephen Caw who supported his midfield well today delivered a terrific cross from the right wing which the Cowdenbeath defender could only put into his own goal.

Queen's then dominated most of the possession with some good patterns of play and combinations from defence to attack were excellent.

The second and third periods belonged to Queen's who put on the best display of the season thus far by dominating possession and scored some wonderful goals.

The coaches were pleased with the patterns of play and some terrific goals in an entertaining football match and credit to both teams for trying to play in the correct manner, well done.
