Queen's Park v Arbroath

Queen's were quite rightly in confident mood today to face Arbroath having found the net on numerous occasions in our previous match along with looking sharp during training mid-week.

Unfortunately they were caught cold again early on, with credit going to the Arbroath striker for a good finish from just outside the box. Queen's replied and were to find the net on another couple of occasions.

If matches were decided on touches of the ball this game would have been over early on. Although having been unable to turn possession and chances into goals Queen's paid the price allowing Arbroath to hit them on the counter.

Although disappointed it is essential to remember why we are here- to work at and play the type of football which will allows us to learn correctly and develop our game. This was communicated to the boys, and not for the first time. So as long the 14s play in the manner that they did today on the ball the future is bright for this talented group.

Coach Murray Crouch commented 'One of those days were with one or two breaks the boys would be going home happy. Personally, although never pleased to lose goals, overall satisfied with the attitude shown today and credit to Arbroath for playing to their strengths.'
