Home Farm B.C. 3-6 Queen's Park

The 17s travelled to play Home Farm Boys Club from the Republic of Ireland at Rangers training ground Murry Park. The weather was made for sitting on a beach rather than asking the boys to perform in another tough game but needs must. Could the boys show one more effort to finish the season.

Going by the first 30min you would have thought not as we looked off the pace and also went 1-0 down after some poor defending.

A few changes and some chosen words the boys upped their efforts and showed more quality and raced into a 5-1 lead after an hour with 2 goals from Blackwood, 1 from Kieran Kennedy, 1 from Stephen Hepburn and 1 from Connor McVey, this made the game all over as a contest. Id did however allow Queen's trialists time to show what they are about.

Into the last 30min it was a very poor affair with two goals against and one for. Queen's goal coming after a good run and cross on the left from one trialist with the ball headed home from another. 6-3 the game ended.

Coach Paul Ronald commented "You could sense from the game the boys are looking forward to their holiday break after a sterling seasons efforts. So it was good that we could end with another fine win scoring 6 goals and playing some really decent football".
