Queen's continued their pre-season with a friendly against close neighbours Giffnock North. The game was played at Northolm Park. The pitch was immaculate - would the football be likewise?
Queen's played well especially the first half and with more conviction could have been two or three up at half time.
The second half Queen's contributed to their own down fall by lack of concentration and decision making allowing our opponents to score three very soft goals in a ten minute spell just after the hour mark.
Coach Robert Kelly commented "Queen's continued to play good football and really dominated the game apart from the ten minute spell that we conceded the three goals with impressive performances from Afzal, O’Hara and the two lads Nadeen and Morton working their socks off up front".
The Queen's team was: McLennan(trialist), Baillie, Gallacher, Green, Murney, Blockley, Afzal, O’Hara, McCrone, Nadeen & Morton
The subs were: Barbour, McGowan, Hunter, MacKenzie, Garvie & Chamberlain
