Queen's played host to Ayr United today at Lesser Hampden. In the corresponding games last season Ayr won the match 2-0. Queen's recent form had been up and down. Would they get revenge today or not?
Queen's got of to flyer with McGinn scoring after 3mins after great delivery from a Mackenzie corner.
Queen's continued taking the game to Ayr and were rewarded when McCrone got on the end of a knock down from Nadeem after 15mins.
Ayr got themselves back in the game when the scored after some slackness when the 19s allowed their striker time and space to give our keeper no chance.
The 19s continued to take the game to Ayr and were reward when Morton found space and calmly slotted to give us a 3-1 half time lead.
Second half Queen's stepped it up further and ran out 6-1 winners with goals from Nadeem, Cook and Jones.
Coach Robert kelly commented after the game "A good performance with our young keeper Cakaya making his debut and looking to have a safe pair of hands and very pleasing to have the two central midfielders on the score sheet along with the strikers who all notching a goal each".

The subs were: Sinclair for MacKenzie(70mins), Jones for Nadeem(70mins) and Blockley for McGinn(75mins)
