Queen's start the game at high tempo and look as if they were going to run all over their opponents. However although dominating the midfield area Queen's had no end product from either flank and very few chances were created.
The second half started much the same as the first. Queen's were caught out on the hour mark after a mix up in the middle of the park. Clyde broke down the right and their winger delivered early for their striker to notch at the near post giving McNulty no chance.
Queen's huffed and puffed after this without really testing the Clyde defence.
Coach Robert Kelly commented 'A very disappointing result for our young team. However it’s early in the season and I’m sure there are good things around the corner'.
The Queen's team was: McNulty, Baillie, Gallacher, Green, Money, Barbour, Fatal, Cook, Mackenzie, Morton & Hangula
The subs were: Blockley for Cook (81mins)
Subs not used were: Jones, Sinclair, Graham & Hughes
