Queen's 19s travelled to Airdrie expecting a tough game as usual and therefore believed it was important to start the game well.
Early signs were good with Nadeem (twice) Morton & Barbour all going close in the first twenty minutes. As in recent weeks the 19s have failed to keep the back door closed and they were severely punished losing three goals in an eight minute spell mid way through the first half and to cap it they again failed to defend a set play right on half time.
To be four down at half time was unbelievable. Queen's regrouped at half time and the coaches demanded that we did not roll over and insisted that we had to defend better as a team and be more clinical in our finishing, more important make sure we played as a team.
The 19s dominated the second half and came close several times before McPherson pulled one back after 80mins to make the final score 4-1.
Coach robert Kelly commented 'Poor spells in the first half were we conceded poor goals really contributed to our downfall'.
The Queen's team was: Trialist, McPherson, Gallacher, Green, Murney, Babour, Afzal, O’Hara, MacKenzie, Nadeem & Morton
The subs were: Blockley for Murney (66mins.)
Subs not used Sinclair Graham Jones & Hay
